This paper took the cast magnesium alloy AZ80 as the research object. First of all, it was homogeneous annealed. Right-homogeneous magnesium alloy AZ80 was taken compression and extrusion deformation in the different temperature and deformation ratio, selecting the part of deformation specimens carried out the T6 heat treatment experiment. Then the microstructure and Mechanical Properties of the specimens at various states were tested. The main results were summarized as follows:1.By compression, extrusion deformation, dynamic recrystallization had taken place in all the deformation samples, grains were significantly thinner than that before deformation. Combination of mechanical properties and the microstructure of samples, the best deformation temperature was about 360℃to 390℃or so; the greater the deformation, the better the performance of its deformation.2.By the T6 heat treatment for deformation alloy, in the grain boundaries or crystal, single-phase supersaturated solid solution decomposed of the second phase Mg17Al12 which enhanced the alloy. The mechanical properties of the alloy were improved.3.Aging from 150℃to 190℃, due to the structure of the second phase Mg17Al12 changing, the tensile strength and yield strength increased, yet the cross-section shrinkage and elongation declined.4.In the deformation ratio 75%, extrusion of under three stress to deformation made more fully than the compression; grain size got smaller; organization was more uniform. So, extrusion deformation got better mechanical properties than compression.Through the experiment, the best deformation and heat treatment parameters were obtained. Witch supplied the basis for the improvement of hot-working process, improvement of the product property and post-heat treatment of product.
