Delamination is one of the important defect forms of composite laminate construction. In this paper, the local buckling near the surface of piezoelectric laminated shells under electric and thermal loads are investigated. The delamination shape of the symmetric cross-ply cylindrical shell is assumed to be rectangle, ellipse, lemniscate,or triangle near the surface. under the assumption of plane stress and a simplified constitutive equation of piezoelectric materials, derived the calculation formula of the total potential energy and the buckling equation of the sub-laminated shell with piezoelectric materials. To accord with the engineering practice more accurately when analyzing the delamination, transverse displacement of the sub-laminated shell is thought over. In the meantime, the effects of temperature and electric load are taken into account. The relationships between local buckling critical strain value and the parameters of geometry and physics are also studied.
