The landfill leachate concludes various organic matters so it wasn't treated complete. The method that treats with the landfill leachate still not developed. This paper studies the method of Photo-catalytic Oxidation to treat the landfill leachate with nano-scale TiO2 and the factors which affects the methods.The landfill leachate that the paper studied was in natural condition. The factors which can optimize the methods are PH value, activator value, reaction time and the initial concentration of the landfill leachate. And the paper furthermore studies the treatment affect adulterate with optimized TiO2, different radiation light and different activators.Using UV as the radiation source,nano-TiO2 as photocatalyst, leachate COD removal rate reached 50.2%, the decolorization rate reached76.9%, with good treatment effect, the photocatalytic oxidation treatment of landfill leachate is feasible of. The best treatment condition is illumination time 240min,COD removal rate reached 52.3%, the decolorization rate reached 81.1%; pH value takes 5 or 6,COD removal rate reached 49.6%, the decolorization rate reached 82.3%; Dosing 6g to measure the time, COD removal rate of 49.8%, the decolorization rate reached 79.7%; the initial concentration of 500mg/L,, COD removal rate reached 54.6%, the decolorization rate reached 61.1%. On TiO2 modified and optimized test, when the dosage is 4g when modified TiO2, COD removal effect can be achieved by 57.9%; in TiO2/ZnO mixing ratio of 1/4,COD removal efficiency of the most good, up to 56.6%. The results show that the modification of TiO2 and the optimal combination of different photocatalysts, the effect of landfill leachate is better than pure TiO2, can be different levels of COD and color removal efficiency increased. TiO2 photocatalyst on recycling,the COD removal rate could reach 32.4%, the recovery of TiO2 shows the degradation efficiency is still good, can be reused.Using GC-MS detection of organic matter in leachate, to analyze the removal. Nano TiO2 photocatalytic oxidation treatment of landfill leachate to do a preliminary analysis of economic and technical rationality.TiO2 is one of the best activators, it has many advantages such as:easy to preparation, low cost, simple test conditions, using solar energy, can be reused, no secondary pollution and etc.After the treatment of Photo-catalytic Oxidation the organic matter changed its composition from complex to simple and decreased the toxicity. This method combines with the next biological treatment processes will obtain a well treatment effects.
