This graduation project which is commissioned by a large motorcycle (Group) Co., Ltd. as an application issue, is to developing the Piston Rings Full Automatic Assembly System.The large amounts of data shows that at home and abroad the reseach in the field of piston rings assembly is quite few. However domestic broad market demand and the capacity of large-scale engine production provide research Basis in the field of piston rings automatic assembly, so The research in the field of piston rings automatic assembly has great academic significance and application value.This subject takes advantage of the existing piston ring Semi-automatic assembly machine as a research platform which was developed by ChongQing University of Technology. This thesis included the following elements:(1) Elaborating on automatic assembly techniques and technology development of piston assembly; studying application of piston rings; proposing the formula of piston rings expansion stress; according to application research, summarizing the assembly points in the piston rings assembly process.(2) By application research and analysis on the existing piston rings assembly machine, we proposed new Design principles and Design project of the Piston Rings Full Automatic Assembly System, and designed the specific structure module of the Piston Rings Full Automatic Assembly System.(3) We applied professional knowledge of mechatronic system to design the electrical equipment for the assembly system. Combining integrated application requirements, we designed the mechanical system,detection system and the assembly process for the assembly system.(4) We derived the dynamic equations of the mechanical transmission system, then dynamically analysed and Structural Optimized the mechanical transmission system, thus improved its stability and reliability.(5) By Simulating the Piston Rings Full Automatic Assembly System on kinematics and correcting the system's structure and assembly process, we modified and materialized the system. It has very important significance in engineering practice.
