This paper in view of the treatment problems from mine bathing wastewater in our country, according to the quantities-qualities'characteristics of mine bathing wastewater, a BCO (Biological Contact Oxidation) process was tested in treatment of the mine bathing wastewater, process parameters is confirmed, investigating treatment effect, with the expectation of providing a technical support to the engineers, to solute the problems immediately during pollution control.Using Biological Contact Oxidation treating workers bathing wastewater from Wu Long mine in Fuxin, adopted artificially hanged membrane,about twenty days membrane formed, during acclimatization stage, the influent flow is changed from 0.8L/h to 1.6L/h to 2.4L/h, acclimatization later removal rate of COD reaches 58%, NH3-N reaches 27.3%, LAS reaches 48.6%, SS reaches 80%, by changing inflow that the removal efficiency is not big difference. During experimental study,by varying conditions:hydraulic retention time (HRT), aeration rate DO, gas-water ratio, to find optimal treatment condition. The experimental shows that when COD concentration about 300mg/L and LAS concentration is 12mg/L and NH3-N concentration is 31mg/L and SS concentration is 290mg/L in raw water,the best hydraulic retention time (HRT)6h, aeration rate DO is 4.5mg/L, gas-water ratio is 10~15:1, removal rate of COD is 80.6%, LAS is 77.3%, NH3-N reaches 42.6%, SS reaches 90%. The effluent quality is stable.The mine bathing wastewater by Biological Contact Oxidation and by coagulation sedimentation and disinfection, after deep treatment the wastewater reached pollutant discharge standard from the town wastewater treatment plant GB18918—2002.The water can be reused as toilet-flushing, greening etc in living area, reclaimed water reuse has certain economic benefits and social benefit and environmental benefit.
