Basic Application Research On Iron And Manganese Oxide For Removal Of Carbonyl Sulfide From Syngas

Preparation technology of COS desulfurizer which uses ferric oxide and manganese dioxide as main active component. The affect factors for the performance of the desulfurize and the suitable condition for regeneration of the desulfurizer have been studied in fixed bed reactor simulated in laboratory. Outlet COS concentration is detected on-line by Mass Spectra, sulfur capacity is analyzed through Coulomb Sulphur Determining Instrument, the mechanical strength of desulfurizers is tested through granular strength testing machine. The results show that the desulfurizer have very good performance in desulfurization and high sulfur capacity and mechanical strength.Experiments study the affected factors of desulfurizers performance from preparation and operation conditions the two key effects, such as type and concertration of additives, extrusion methods, water concentration, drying temperature, calcination temperature and time, reaction temperature, space velocity and other conditions. The results show that the desulfurizers which is added with bentonit drying at 120℃for 4h and calcinated at 500℃for 10h at reacton temperature of 400℃and pace velocity of 1000h-1 have very good performance in desulfurization:the outlet concertration COS is 0.03×10-6 and the outlet concertration of H2S is as low as 2.8×10-6. At the same time, the mechanical strength can excess 92.6N/cm and the biggest sulfur capacity can reach about 31.58gS/100g.In the regeneration experiments, the effects of regeneration conditions such as regeneration temperatue, the concentration of O2 and H2O in regeneration atmosphere are studied. The results show that the suitable conditions is that regeneration temperature is 700℃, the regeneration atmosphere is 45% H2O,0.5% O2 and rest N2. The regernated desulfurizer still have very good performance.
