In recent years, seamless knitting industry is rapidly developed in the world. Seamless knitting products are diverse, updated quickly and produced flexibility. They can quickly be adapt to the changes of the market. However, the new products need to be designed and modified many times, and then be put into production. In order to let the fabric designers experience the design of knitted wear effect more intuitively,increase product generated efficiency, and reduce try woven costs resulting from waste, this paper studies the knitting fabric texture pattern based on the theory of virtual display technology, combining the target and requirement of the seamless knitting products simulation shows. We also discuss the application of illumination model to enhance the display effect. Finally we design and realize a fabric simulation demonstration system.Main tasks involved in this paper are as follows:1. We focus on the study of the texture mapping algorithm on the triangle mesh model. To aim at the non-parameter and the strong strut of the knitted fabric texture pattern characteristics of 3d mesh structure of clothing model, we propose a combining algorithm by the mesh segmentation and bounding box based texture mapping basing on the analyses of the previous research findings. The mesh segmentation bases on the difference of normal vector weighted by the triangle and tangential vector of the model. It not only reduces the texture mapping distortion by the local nature, but also reflects the object surface texture trend. After the mesh segmentation, we need to texture map to subdivide the surface. We improve the S mapping in the method to guarantee the continuous of the texture on the intermediary surface. At the same time, we solve the division between each surface texture splicing. The method effectively controls the texture trend, and maintains texture continuity to some extent. It demonstrates design good texture in the entity model of wearing effect effectively.2.The application of illumination model to enhance the display effect is discussed. We analyses the influence factors during the process of fabric illumination model establishment from others research outcomes. And then we build the demanding illumination model according to the qualitative of knitted yarns texture. It enhances the fabric simulation showing effect. And we discuss and summarize realism graphic simulation technical characteristics and applicability in this paper.3.We design and implement fabric simulation display system,including the import of the model, texture mapping, rotating interactive display and so on.The system is on the basis of the internal structure of fabric three-dimensional mathematical model.And then it creates the fabric texture image to be used by the clothing model mapping and realizes the fabric of virtual display.The simulation of the organizational structure of the fabric takes part in the whole process of fabric design. Designers can choose the organization and design knitted fabric patterns in fashion model display. The system offers rich interactive approaches and apperceives functions to simulate the fabric on the actual used model. It is convenient for the designers to investigate, check and improve the techniques. This system has a strong practical value.
