Flotation column is an effective equipment of separation fine coal, it has a higher separation effect than the flotation cell especially on the fine particle size less than 0.045mm.Pulp stay a short time in the flotation column, and is sensitive to all kinds of interference and fluctuations due to the separation principle. At the same time as a result of there is no mixing equipment in flotation column, there must be an excellent automatic control system to stabilize the condition of flotation process in order to guarantee the separation result and get the product that can meet user requirements. In addition Fluctuation of coal quality in work field proposes a more demanding challenge to reagent addition system, the traditional reagent automatic addition relied on dry coal sludge in ton can not meet the requirement of the site condition of flotation process. Expert system control theory and technology provides a new way to solve this problem.Expert system is an important branch of control theory in the field of artificial intelligence control and suitable for complex industrial process which is difficult to establish accurate mathematical model. The traditional automatic reagent addition system that bases on the dry coal sludge in ton is useless to consider changing dosing method when the coal quality changes, field operation workers are often able to conclude a reasonable dosing method according to quality variation and different working conditions in long-term dosing of production practice. So use expert systems theory and technology for reference, this research design and develop a flotation column unit dosage optimization expert system to improve the adaptability to the coal quality volatility. That is the important end result of the paper.Flotation process will be stable at a good sorting environment, it is added to ensure pharmaceutical effect, and then get qualified clean coal, an important means to improve yield it is an important means to ensure pharmaceutical effect and then get qualified clean coal to improve productivity that stabilizes the separation flotation process of flotation column in a good environment. The paper analyzes the structure of FCMC cyclone micro bubble flotation column, experimental study coal particle size characteristics and differences of flotation possibility and the effect of ratio flotation of the Xing tai Coal Preparation Plant, and design a flotation column unit dosage optimization expert system that firstly makes the column flotation separation process stability control and then on this basis study the response to the fluctuations in coal quality that reagent automatic addition based on dry coal sludge in ton has a dole role in stability control and expert controlThe research firstly design a closed-loop automatic control system of the incoming flotation concentration and liquid level of flotation column so that the concentration remained relatively easy to float, select the corresponding sensors, actuators and controllers and edit program, design automatic control system of liquid level,install the level measurement device of the ultrasonic level meter in the top of tailings tank measured flotation column level indirectly to avoid the affection to the accuracy of the measuring device by the foam layer. Actuators use electric control valve to avoid the drawbacks of poor reliability of actuator. The volume of flushing water use the open-loop control, the control value is inputted by the man-machine interface. The amount of dry coal sludge utilize the open-loop servo control, also select the corresponding sensors, actuators and controllers, give the PLC program structure and part of the code of reagent addition.On the premise of stability control achieved, the research build the expert system framework based on expert control system theory and technology, adopt expert knowledge base with rule-based forward reasoning,design and build a comprehensive database divided into two data types, one is the sensor data that store in comprehensive database and provide the foundation and support condition for new expert rules formed by the follow-up data mining and knowledge discovery, another one is the human-computer interaction data inputted manually that are used for expert system inference responding to the coal quality variation to choose the best pharmaceutical dosage and ensure flotation effect, choose a reliable hardware and software platform, design flotation column unit dosage optimization expert control system, describe the functions of human-machine interface and its realization.The expert rule base of flotation column unit dosage optimization expert control system designed by this paper needs to continue to supplement and improve in the production field. When there is no inference the same as expert rule base, we need to design recent case search model to ensure the normal work of expert system.
