The coked waste water is the organic compound industrial waste water which one kind typical difficult to process, The highly concentrated insoluble organic matter which in the waste water contains have the inhibitory action to the microorganism. Therefore, it's nesseory to change its molecular structurer as far as possible before biochemistry processing or reduce its density, enhance its biodegradability. The highly concentrated phenol compound in the wastewater may cause the protein to coagulate has the enormous harm to the humanity, the crops and the aquatic product.Base on the difficulties of coked waste water processing, spongy iron has the surface area,the relative surface can be higher than, simultaneously has the oxidation reduction,the strong electrochemistry to concentrate, the physisorption as well as the flocculent precipitate performance, and may enhance the diodegradability of waste water obviously. This paper has researched to the pretreatment of coked waste water which use spongy iron, inspected the removal rate of COD, the phenol and the chromaticity.Through single factor repeated static experiment,it has good treatment effection to the low concentration coked waste water which use spongy iron. The;definite static response's optimum condition is:The reaction temperature=30℃, pH=7, the phenol density in the waste water=4mg/L, particle size of spongy iron=0.9~1.5mm, dosage= 0.20g/mL, reaction time=40min. Under the static optimum response conditions, the COD elimination rate achieves 41.6%, the phenol elimination rate is 38%, the chromaticity elimination rate reaches as high as 95%. After treatment the ratio of BOD5 and COD from 0.23 to 0.45, the biodegradability of wastewater has distict enhancement.Through dynamic continuously experiment, the dynamic testing optimum condition is:has the agitation, pH=7, hydraulic load=1m/m d. Under the dynamic optimum condition, the COD elimination rate is 48%, the phenol elimination rate achieves 43.7%, the chromaticity elimination rate reaches as high as 94%. After treatment the ratio of BOD5 and COD from 0.19 to 0.37, the biodegradability of wastewater has distict enhancement.Under different response conditions, through research of the relations in the phenol processing effect and the time, we find:in the reaction of pretreatment phenol of coked waste water which use spongy iron, the phenol transformed speed affected to varying degrees on different phenol initial density, spongy iron particle size, reaction temperature, pH, the change of the phenol elimination rate approximate match first-level dynamics model, And the reaction temperature lower, the phenol transformed speed to be higher,which showed that the pretreatment rsaction carries on the normal temperature, does not need any heat installation.
