There are problems of poor fault detection and diagnosis in furnace, whether complete imported thermal coal furnace, or domestic-made thermal coal furnaces and direct heating furnace. At present, the long-running process may occur in the partial burning furnace flame, causing crude oil gasification phenomena ,and sensors'frequent failure may lead to unnecessary shutdown of the situation, View of the above two cases this paper focused on the design of a fuzzy observer, to realize heater fault detection and diagnosis. This design based on fuzzy observer heater fault detection and diagnosis system that can diagnose the wrong line data, can shutdown before vaporization of oil in the pipeline, can overcome security risk that caused by the log of measurement of oil baked temperature. If there is a line fault diagnosis of the sensors, then the system can early warn sensor failure, and can promptly remove the failure of sensors from the system, and can continue thermal furnaces running to avoid major malfunction and reduce unnecessary Shutdown. In the fuzzy observer design, for the characteristics of the parameters of furnace with redundant information each other, this paper uses a "multi-redundant election law" as the reasoning method of fuzzy observer. and uses the powerful MATLAB software for simulation. The results show that the systems based on fuzzy observer can be comprehensively improve the furnace safety and stability, the system not only has significant social and economic benefits, but also has broad application prospects.
