With the rapid development of china's economy, Infrastructure continues to increase efforts, mine demand is growing constantly. At the same time, Mine safety issues are also increasingly become the focus of attention. And China's current mine safety situation is still not optimistic, It is very important task how to protect the health of China's mine industry developing. In open-pit mine, Impact on the stability of the slope is a major factor in mine safety, therefore evaluation of open-pit mine slope stability has a great significance for steel industry which achieves sustainable development.The paper first overviews the purpose, significance and the status at home and abroad of safety assessment of slope stability of mine, The characteristics of slope stability for mining points out that an uncertain type of analytic hierarchy process(AHP) method which can be applied in the synthetic assessment and management of slope. The paper gives a complete evaluation model to evaluate the safety of a slope based on AHP (analytic hierarchy process), the model is made up of nine parts which are geological structure of slope, nature of rock, structure of rock, hydrogeological conditions(such as groundwater), slope angle, slope height, quality of construction protection work, slope geometry and other factors(Including blasting, earthquakes, human disturbance, such as), and gives it's complete index system according to the practice of the slope of mine. Around the index weight, The paper introduces uncertain AHP and the corresponding method of calculation weight, which can consider fully the fuzzy and uncertain in the assessment. In addition, this paper introduces group judgment theory to the synthetic assessment, and the credit degree is put forward to considering the expert's appraisal level. The principle of set-valued statistics and the fuzzy gravity center based decision theory are put into a new method, and are applied in the uncertain type of AHP. At last, the paper gives a safety assessment in Zijinshan gold mine as an example.The paper gives a complete evaluation model of slope stability based on the uncertain AHP, although the paper has yielded some results, there are still many work need to be further studied.
