In this paper dithioamino starch xantho genate(DSX) were first prepared basedon the graft and sulfonation reaciton theory of soluble strach and acrylamide.Thesederivatives were employed as a new adsorbent used for removing heavy metalsions in aqueous solutions. The procedures and results are shown as the following. The products are characterized by FTIR,elemental analysis,CNMR,HNMR,X-ray diffraction, SEM and TG,Results: dithioamino starch xanthogenate(DSX)was successfully synthesized. Effects of cross-bonding reagent, initiator, acrylamide and the amount of carbon disulfide on its applicationin absorption ofCu(Ⅱ)in aqueous solutions were studied. The use of orthogonal experiment to findpairs of heavy metal ion removal rate is relatively high synthesis conditions ofDSX. It is shown from the experiment results that: To obtain the product withhigher removing rate, the optimalsynthesis condition is that the feedstock ratio ofcross-bonding reagent was10g:1.25mL,initiator was10g:4mL,acrylamidewas10g:3mL and carbon disulfide was10g:5mL。Besides,Synthesis of DSX-1andDTS were soluble strach and acrylamide, crylic acid graft copolymerized byacrylamide and sulfonation.A study was carried out to investigate influence of different conditions on theadsorption of heavy metal ions in aqueous solutions, such as temperature,pHvalue, time, initial concentration and dosage of DSX etc, The uniform design ofexperiments to find the optimal adsorption conditions for treatment of heavy metalions. results show that: temperature was 40℃,pH value was 9,time was 50min,initial concentration was 15mg/L and dosage of DSX was 0.2g, the removal ratesof Cu2+,Pb2+,Cd2+and Zn2+ were 98.5%,98.3%,97.8%和97.5%, respectively。The data of Cu2+,Pb2+,Cd2+and Zn2+ the adsorption by DSX was discribed withthe Langmuir and Freundlich equations, The results showed that the absorptionprocess was corresponding with Langmuir and the first order kinetics model.
