Controlling technologies of dioxins in municipal solid waste (MSW) incinerator have been pop topics in environment pollution research all over the world. This study investigated the application of ozone to destruct polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in gas phase, and constructed dioxins-containing gas stream generating system with high concentration for the further investigation of gaseous dioxin control technologies.A stable dioxin generating system has been constructed by heating the stock solution of medical waste fly ash to evaporated dioxins. Remaining dioxins on pinhead and tube surface were the major problems. Temperatures (T) and feeding flow rate (v) influence PCDD/Fs evaporation. At T=500℃, whenν=0.2ml/min and N2 gas flow rate is 1000ml/min, the I-TEQ concentration of flue gas could stay at 10-200 ng I-TEQ/Nm3 by changing the concentration of the stock solution injection. This study investigated the application of ozone in conjunction with water and ultraviolet (UV) to destruct gaseous naphthalene (Nap). The experiments were carried out at various constant reaction temperatures (T), inlet concentrations of ozone (C03, in), intensities of UV and humidity of the gas flow (wt%). The results indicated that ozone had some effects in destructing Nap, but when CO3, in:CNap=1 the conversion level of Nap (XNap) was not remarkable. XNap increased effectively with the increase in humidity of the gas flow. At T=423K, wt%=6%, UV (365nm)=560uW/cm2,tR=12s and CO3, in:CNap=1.5:1, the conversion of Nap (XNap) can increase to 90%.Some suggestions were proposed for the further research of control technologies of dioxin-like compound in the end of this paper.
