The air compressor in mine are used to produce the high pressure gas and conveying gas for the mine pneumatic picks, pneumatic drill and other pneumatic tools provided motivation, which is one of the indispensable key equipment in mine enterprises production process. However, due to the consumption gas is irregular in the industrial fields, as well as the obsolete technology of the control system and lack the necessary monitoring and control equipment, lead to the air compressor set during operation often occur the faults. It can not guarantee the normal demand of production consumption gas. There fore, how to make the technology upgrading of the old control system, according to the faults type of air compressor, to seek more reliable, stable monitoring and control technology, continuously improve colliery safety level, the coal mining enterprise is urgent problems to solve. In order to change this situation, according to production enterprise of the request, this paper developed the monitoring and control system of air compressor set.First of all, this paper analyzes the system used by air compressor set. Detailed analysis the reciprocating piston compressor system composition, working principle and production process of compressed air.The theoretical basis of air compressor type and quantity choice is given.Through the commonly used three monitoring and control schemes are compared, combined with SIMATIC NET network system, finally,developed by the PLC for the lower level controller responsible for signal acquisition and control, PC for the upper computer responsible for real-time monitoring, faults diagnosis, and alarm functions etc, and connected with the field equipments by the fieldbus(PROFIBUS) and the management by the Industrial Ethernet for network configuration overall scheme of the monitoring and control system. It introduces the system of monitoring and control parameters. It analyzes the working process of the monitoring and control system.Secondly, studies the whole monitoring and control system of hardware and software design. According to the function of the monitoring and control system, detailed studied the system hardware selection, composition, working principle and realization method. Analysis the system I/O points composition. Studies the function of CPU module and extension modules.Some necessary anti-interference measures are given to improve the reliability of the monitoring and control system. With the S7 series development tools STEP7-V5.3, complete PLC control system software design. For the software, it includes software overall design of monitoring and control system, operation mode choice, fault judging, automatic rotation work of air compressor set, loading and unloading of air compressor set and so on.Finally, the upper computer of the monitoring system is designed.Introduces the overall structure of the configuration software, real-time database, software implementation of the method and procedure. Applied force control configuration software developed PC monitoring software, mainly includes the system main monitoring interface, the branch interface of system running, alarm interface, parameters set real-time report, etc.; Designed the network communication configuration scheme of based on Industrial Ethernet and TCP/IP protocol, used to finish the lower level controller of PLC and the upper computer of PC communication connection, realize the monitoring system of local control and remote monitoring.This monitoring system by the coal mining enterprises practical application, improved the workers labor efficiency, reduced the failure rate of air compressor set, realized the safe production, and brought very good economic benefits for the coal mining enterprises.
