Dongying lies in the heart of the Yellow River delta area. Owing to the time of the delta becomes the land short, the topography is low-lying, the slope extremely slow, most areas draining water is impeded. For the developing of agriculture, the government has constructed great quantity of hydraulic projects and irrigation engineering from the yellow river, and forms the unique network of waterways system on yellow river floodplain. There are some main problems included serious water pollution, serious phenomenon of establishing the dam in the river, serious deposition in the river bed, impeded drainage and so on questions, Guang Li river system's realignment and the ecology repair imperative. In most cases, river networks can only be simulated numerically due to its large scale.The Principle of hydrological model and river-network hydrodynamic (HD) model was discussed in this thesis including the common Software of these models and their applications. MIKE11 was selected to setup the hydrological and river-network hydrodynamic and water quality model based on the features of Yellow River Floodplain area. Numerical simulation of river network flow in Yellow River Floodplain area was presented in terms of HD model and AD model. The simultaneous monitoring hydrology and water quality data of near one year was used to calibrate model. The HD model simulation results are in good agreement with actual data. The AD model result misses slightly, but can satisfy the simulation of ecological restoration.In consideration of complex characters of Yellow River Floodplain river, introduced the compatible technology of ecological restoration of the Yellow River Floodplain river course, which based on study at home and broad ecological restoration. Finally, three suggestion is proposed such as polluted watercourse flushing, control of pollution sources, river bank regulation project to take ecological restoration. The simultaneous monitoring water quality data of near one year was used to calibrate model. The ecological restoration simulation results are in good agreement with actual data.
