Water-borne polyurethane prepolymer-A compound-was prepared with PC,PCL,DMPA as major materials, B compound was prepared with triazole and IPD1/IPTS. A compound and B compound were mixed with proper ratio and improvements of properties of modified water-borne polyurethane were found through various tests. Water-borne polyurethane was prepared with PCD,PCL,IPDI,DMPA and different ratios(0.5%,1.0ï¼…,1.5%,2.0%,2.5%) of phenyl-oxazole. TG,XRD,DSC,IR,water-resistance and mechanical properties of different modified systems were tested and it was found that water-borne polyurethane containing 2.5% phenyl-oxazole performed best among the above modified systems. However, along with the further increase content of phenyl-oxazole,polyurethane stability reduced gradually, for the best formula is to 2.5%.An oligomer containing low free isocyanate group was prepared with HDI and TMP, and was used as a major component in the preparation of water-borne polyurethane together with PCL,PCD,DMPA and IPDI. Better over-all performance of modified water-borne polyurethane was observed through IR,water-resistance and mechanical properties.
