| Since the industrial revolution in the 19th, all the countries need much more fossil energy, which led to the high-speed economic development, and meanwhile the greenhouse gas emissions increased rapidly. Because of this, global warming has become the challenges to human survival and development. Countries are actively seeking the way to reduction, so determing the factors effects which bring the change of greenhouse gas emission is of great significance to formulation of reduction policies and use of climate policy instruments.Factors analysis models are just the instrument which can measure the factor effects that bring the change of a study target. It is widely applied to economic, employment, environmental and energy and other areas. In the late-1970s of 20th, factors analysis method was be started to apply in the area of energy and environment. At present, it plays more and more important role within the factors analysis about increase of greenhouse gas emissions.In view of domestic related systemic research is being promoted, discussion of factors analysis models and application for china are as the theme for this article. Systematic interpretating to principle, features and application problems of factors analysis models based on carding a large number of literatures. Applying factors analysis models to the factors research of carbon dioxide emissions change for China. SDA and PDA models are first used in the analysis of Carbon dioxide emissions for China and IDA is supplementary to domestic application. Depth comparative research is done between the same type and different types of models.SDA is based on the input-output and established from the view of industries.The time span of compiling input-output dicides the longer time interval when SDA is used in time series analysis.it is only suitable for the analysis of absolute change.IDA that is based on index theory can determine the role of each affecting factor from the overall, and it is suitable for factor analysis of continuous time. This article discussed eight kinds of index decomposition analysis model and a variety of them can be used to analyze the absolute changes of greenhouse gas emissions as well as the relative changes. PDA which is established in production theory framework is suitable for factor decomposition of production set containing multiple areas, but factors effects of one region is relative to other regions. This model is only suitable for decomposition of relative changes. Polar decomposition method and LMDI I model have more excellent properties among the many SDA and IDA models.Differences of every factor analysis model has its own effect in real application.SDA can provide information for policy of emissions reduction which takes account of industries as well as considering the factor of emission reduction in industrial structure adjustment process. IDA reveals the role of each factors from macroscopic view and provides guidance for the establishment of policies. PDA will help to make clear the task of emissions reduction for each area, and the results can help each area to take suitable measures. |
