Epoxy resin(EP) is a kind of thermosetting resin with good adhesion, high strength, corrosion resistance, electrical insulation excellent performances in aviation, and have been utilized in many applications such as arcrafts, chemical industry, civil engineering, and many other areas. Current engineering technolohy demand for good impact strength, low surface energy, which EP do not generally exhibit. In this paper, in order to improve the toughness of EP, modify the EP is to utilize organosilicon and organofluorine grafted in the EP, endows the materials with excellent hydrophobic properties and heat resistance. The synthesis, microstructure, dynamic mechanical propertie and thermal properties of modified EP were investigated by FTIR, SEM, TG and DTG. The mechanical properties, contact angle and water absorption were studies too.2-Cetyl-3-20 keto acid(N-ethyl perfluorinated octyl sulfonamide) N- ethyl ester(CKAEPOSE) was synthesized by the reaction of N-ethyl-N-hydroxyethyl perfluorinated octyl sulfonamide and alky ketene dimer. Adding organofluorine into EP, modified EP were cured by methyl-tetrahydrophalic anhydride(MeTHPA). The result show that the Hydrophobic performance of epoxy resin was improved, while organofluorine content for 3%, the contact Angle reached 115.2°; The flexural strength and shock strength also are ascending.In the systems of HTPDMS\CKAEPOSE\EP, a certain amount of hydroxy silicone oil was mixed with fluorine-containing surfactant and then add the resin, mixed well. The results show that the Hydrophobic performance of epoxy resin was improved and more effectively when add organofluorine. Hydroxy silicone modified epoxy resin heat-resisting performance had increased,s o the impact properties, but the flexural strength decreased, When the contents of hydroxy silicone and organic fluorine are 15% and 2%, respectively, the impact strength is 18.69 KJ·m-2, which has increased by 140%, compared to EP (7.81KJ·m-2), the flexural strength is 75.86Mpa, while the best mechanical properties and good integrated mechanical properties.AEAPS/CKAEPOSE/EP systems were synthesized with EP and amino silicone, which are characterized by FTIR. The mechanical properties, contact angle, frature surface morphology of materials were studied. The results show that the contact and impact strength angle are remarkly increased, but the bending strength decreased obviously, the mechanical properties results are poor. Amino silicone oil and epoxy resin phase compatibility is not good.SEM show that the fracture model systems are ductile fracture. The contact angle of testing results show that the contact angles with water of all modified EP augmented with the additions. The systems have good hydrophobic properties, which can be used for low surface energy materials.
