This topic is funded by the national natural science funds: Basic Research on Critical Chatter of Power Ultrasonic Honing Based on The Theory of Nonlinear Dynamic System (50975265). Main to dynamics analysis on power ultrasonic honing, based on the basis of flutter theory research, through analyze dynamic honing force in the process of honing, establish power ultrasonic honing chatter model of linear single-degree-of-freedom. Using the theory and methodology of machine dynamics and nonlinear dynamics, respectively consider based on nonlinear stiffness and nonlinear honing characteristics and comprehensive consider the two nonlinear factors, establish corresponding honing chatter system movement model and motion equation, analysis stability of power ultrasonic honing flutter system. Analyze and research on simulation of honing chatter, analyze the influence of various honing parameters to honing process stability, reveal the mechanism of power ultrasonic honing chatter. This paper s main research and achievement are:1. Briefly described the mechanism and characteristics of self-excited vibration producing of honing system, respectively modeling and mechanism analysis on speed feedback, displacement delay feedback and modal coupling the three different mechanisms honing chatter.2. Introduced working principle of power ultrasonic vibration honing, establish linear single-degree-of-freedom power ultrasonic honing chatter system model, based on nonlinear dynamic , main consider nonlinear stiffness and nonlinear characteristics of honing force. Respective establish nonlinear single-degree-of-freedom power ultrasonic honing chatter system model then comprehensive consider the two nonlinear factors, establish corresponding honing chatter system movement model and motion equation. 3. Analyze power ultrasonic honing chatter linear and nonlinear model, roll out corresponding honing flutter stability equation, get stability critical honing width. Analyze equations can obtain that the dynamical model of honing chatter based on nonlinear theory has more advantage over the dynamical model of honing chatter based on linear theory to describe the honing chatter. Nonlinear flutter stability equation can predict critical condition of honing chatter happen, and given some description and explanation on honing chatter.4. Through computer simulate diagram of honing system stability critical width changed with honing spindle speed, forecast the stability limits. Use Matlab to simulate and analyze the main factors that influence honing stability, including the natural frequency, overlapping coefficients, honing rigidity coefficient, damping coefficient to influence chatter stable region, get relations between these factors and the minimum of critical honing width, reveals power ultrasonic honing chatter mechanism;Establish simulation model based on Matlab/Simulink numerical simulation platform, assign different values to honing width, get different honing chatter time-domain figures, vibration system exists obvious critical condition of chatter occurrence, simulation explained and predicted the critical condition of honing chatter, when chatter happens, the amplitude of vibration signals has an more obvious increase than normal honing state;At last observe the cylinder liner surfaces e that chatter has not occurred and the cylinder liner surface that chatter has occurred in ultrasonic honing process by electron microscopy, and carried the comparative and analysis on them.
