In the national economic development process, communications and transportation especially highway development is playing the foundational and prescient role. However with the rapid development of highway construction, the asphalt plant building the highway in the remote location is creating plenty of granularity dust and harmful smoke. It is difficult to harness. Therefore, in order to reduce environmental pollution and respond to a nation called on the energy conservation and emissions reduction and guarantee the people's lives and health, the research of bag filter has a very important significance.The existing problems of the Bag filter of asphalt plant are analyzed, and the characteristics of various bag filters are compared. And then the basic working principle of bag filter and several factors impacting dust removal efficiency are discussed. And the entity model of bag filter is designed on this foundation. The design includes the definition of the original condition,processing air calculation,determining the wind pressure of dust removal system,the option of exhauster and determining the dust filter area and the structure size.It is closely related that the effectiveness of dust removal and the uniformity of internal flow field distribution. The bag filter of asphalt plant model is built in Pro-e and gambit. The flow field numerical simulation within the bag filter has been done by one of Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) softwares Fluent. And the distribution of velocity field,stress field,temperature field and turbulent field is drew and the nonuniform reason is analyzed. Various models of Bag filter is designed by changing the form of air intake the bag type, the bag clearance speed and a guide plate established.The improved flow field distribution is drew by calculation simulation in Fluent.The advantages and disadvantages of different models are analyzed and the influence of different factors for the internal flow field distribution is explored. It provides references for improving the uniformity of the internal flow field,improving the dust removal efficiency and prolonging the service life of Bag filter.
