Sand production is one of the important questions in oil production, especially Loose sandstone reservoir exploration. Serious sand inflow will lead to a series of severe consequences, not only abrade pipelines and production facilities but also lead to casing failure, oil wells scrap or stop production,decline of wells,environmental pollution and so on. Scientific and effective on the sand prediction is very important significance to guide the efficient oilfield development.Zhongyuan oil field development has already entered intermediary and later stage, so the question of sand inflow is very important, Analysis the geologic characteristic and the present situation of sand inflow for the serious block of sand inflow in Zhongyuan oil field, the prime example is sandy well in the Three Broken Clumps of WenZhong. Analyzed and summarized to the feature of sand inflow. Done the sand simulation experiment for wenjian three and two well, screen out sand prediction technology be fit for the Three Broken Clumps of WenZhong in Zhong yuan oil field, according to the practical situation of Zhongyuan oil field, confirmed the importance of sand prediction technology research for oil field layer.This article according to geologic and development characteristics of problem petroleum reservoir, systematically analyzed the reason of sand inflow and the harm of the sand, the mechanization of sand inflow, at the same time Summarizes sand prediction methods that existing and commonly used of oil reservoir, on this basis, expounds the advantages and disadvantages and applicability of all kinds of sand prediction methods, analysis and optimization these methods. in the meantime, this article describes the main sand control processes, according to the result of sand production to confirm the optimum time of sand control.
