With oil and gas resources on land and epicontinental sea poor increasingly,to the deep sea development has become an inevitable trend.With the development of marine resources,marine engineering platform,auxiliary ships of large marine engineering and related industries developed rapidly.Fixation of marine engineering platforms and equipments depends on high-level mooring chain.It is used in bad service condition which not only for a long time to withstand static load of platform, but also to withstand load of environment,such as Wind, wave force and current force.The chain takes place Friction wear under the load,which lead to the failure of high-level mooring chain and directly impact on safety and reliability of marine engineering Platform.The mooring chain steel requires not only high strength (including the fatigue strength)and toughness,but also requires anti-friction and wear properties.Heat treatment process of steel of domestic R4 mooring chain and friction and wear properties were systematically studied.The results show that,in the abrasive wear test,the wear mechanism of the 22MnCrNiMo steel is Micro cutting mechanism and plowing deformation mechanism.With the load increasing,the wear extent of 22MnCrNiMo steel has increased significantly.When the load is 3N,wear traces in surface of the sample surface are shallow,and the"chips"produced by the cutting mechanism of are very small,while quantity of the"sheet"is very large ,whose size is small and whose shape is mostly slender strips.When the load is 8N or 13N,wear traces in surface of the sample are deep,and the worn surface exists not only the groove formed by cutting of abrasive,also exists crack.In impacting-sliding wear test,the wear morphology of the sample had significant changes with the impact load increasing,when the impact energy is 2J,worn surface of the sample has a large number of flaking pits,which are shallow and small,so wear extent of materials is large.when the impact energy is 3J,the worn surface of the sample basically has no flaking pits,or has litter flaking pits,so wear extent of materials is small.when the impact energy is 4J,the area of flaking pits is more,whose amount increase,so wear extent of materials is large.
