In recent years, the exploration targets in Daqing shallow region is increasingly distributed, plus exploration task is increasingly difficulty, so the problem which constraints recognition and evaluation technical in shallow restrict has gradually shifted from the discovery of light and low resistance oil layer to fine evaluation of high mud containing and high permeability oil-water layer. At present, people usually draw map plate manually in logging of oil field, which not only exists some error in drawing, but also affects by human factors when calculate water content. In order to avoid all these error, while saving labor resources and achieving office automation, this paper will design a set of software for calculate water content in oil field. The software is based on C # program language.This paper relies on scientific and technological project of interpretation and evaluation center in Daqing Logging Company. The main task is to establish information processing map plate for study the index of water content which based on gas chromatography information, and the ultimate goal is to calculate the water content index. The data processing is as follows: First, finding the outer boundary of the given points, then determining the partition lines, assigning values to the partition lines and calculating water content index. The key technologies is: finding convex hull, expanding the convex hull, connecting the expanding points, drawing district curves and determining method for calculate water content. The final software can automatically import data points from database, and after drawing the outer boundary and district Lines, it also can import the new given point and calculate the water content index. Moreover, the calculated results can also be exported and saved to local PC which will facilitate people to search for in later days. Through establishing evaluation map plate for water content of reservoir oil field which based on gas chromatography information, people can be more intuitively and perceptually understand the information of water content, because the original data has reflect in curve in digitized forms. The establishment of map plate will enhance the integrated coincidence rate of interpretation, and reduce the investment of oil exploration and the risk of testing. At the same time, it will accelerate the pace of exploration and make big contributions for guiding exploration of oil field.
