Using Ozone (O3) as absorbed by hydro-lye pretreatment methods to purify the volatile organic compounds (VOCs), particularly poor water soluble and difficult biodegradable Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) has become a new technology in recent years.The Experiment studied on reclaimed rubber exhaust gas treated with O3 oxidation coupled with chemical absorption.Experiment studied on Ozone (O3). Under the experimental conditions of 20 mg/m3 O3 Oxidation 1~2s,Imports of exhaust gas concentration in gas phase 2000(Dimensionless),the removal efficiency could achieve 91%. the Ozone concentration and oxidation time had great effect on degradation. Through analysing the O3 oxidation products, it was found that most of the material degradation of macromolecular chains of small molecules, inorganic,and they were easily disposed by chemical absorption ,because good water-soluble.Experiment studied on chemical absorption. After a month of pilot-scale study, Using the liquid concentration of 8-10% to spray , Absorption System entered the stable operational state. chemical absorption Can reach 76-89% absorption rate in experiment. Purification ability Less than the ozone oxidation.On the basis of O3 oxidation and chemical absorption experimentse ,the Study Group Proposed a new treatment process, the combination of O3 oxidation and chemical absorption .The treating craftwork of O3 Oxidation coupled with Chemical Absorption was described, namely , the reclaimed rubber exhaust gas was pre-treated by O3 Oxidation, and absorbed by hydro-lye. And then ,the degraded product which was oxidized by O3,would go through hydro-lye Spray Equipment to be absorbed chemically. After that ,the concentration of exhaust gas decreased greatly. It can be concluded that the effective of reclaimed rubber exhaust gas treated with O3 Oxidation coupled with chemical absorption is more obvious than the effective of such gas treated with O3 Oxidation only . The removal efficiency keeps upper 99%. The purification system installed power was less than 2kw/1000m3, and the running cast was less than 3.7yuan/1000m3. It Shows good engineering application. It will be widely used and have a bright future.
