Sucker rod pumping technology still predominate in inclined well production, and with the oilfield development,the quantity of inclined well and directional well is increasing. However, because of the well track of inclined well, the pumping equipment badly worn in production. These elements make the pump difficult to move down, lower the pump efficiency, shorten the pump detection period and influence the normal production and economic benefits. To ensure the normal production of oil, based on extensive research of literature, optimize the rod pumping system through three aspects: rod, tube, and pump. For rod string optimization, determine the depth of the pump based on the oil production requirement and improve the pumping wells system efficiency. Based on the analysis of sucker rod mechanics in crooked hole, optimize the combination of rod string. Study the instability bending phenomenon below neutral point particularly, and prevent eccentric wear through the design of additional rod string. For tube optimization, analyze the mechanism of HDPE lining tube and the matching technology in field application. Based on the study of sucker rod mechanics, determine the rod and tube eccentric wear position and use the HDPE lining tube at eccentric wear position. Through the analysis of the problems in field application, proposes the effective solutions and improve the tube's non-corrosibility and preventing eccentric wear ability. For pump optimization, analyzes the main factors of influence pump efficiency. To solve the problem of the pump in inclined well production, combined with the development of inclined well pump, optimize the conventional pump through the structure of pump valve and preventing pump eccentric wear. According to optimization design thought applied to oil field wells, based on the production data analysis results, it shows that the studies of inclined well sucker rod pumping system optimization design method is feasible, and is expected to reach anticipative optimization effect, has certain theoretical significance and practical value.
