Low infrared emissivity coating (LIEC) which belongs to camouflage technology field have received considerable attention due to the efficiency for protecting vehicles from infrared detection. The project has great research significance on the military field. Through the research, some of departments have developed coatings which have low emissivity in infrared band. However, the poor anti-corrosion and mechanical properties of the coatings are the major cause limiting its application. For this reason, it is interesting to improve the corrosion resistance of LIEC. In this thesis, influencing factors of infrared emissivity and anti-corrosion properties were systematically analyzed according to the corrosion mechanism, meanwhile, the improving methods were proposed. The results and improving mechanism of these methods were evaluated and analyzed in detail. And the optimum formula of LIEC which has excellent corrosion resistance was obtained by optimization techniques, the LIEC has implemented the practical engineering of LIEC. The results of the research were as follows:1. Key influencing factors of infrared emissivity and anti-corrosion properties were systematically analyzed according to the corrosion mechanism and four improving methods were proposed: the choose and modification of pigment, the choose and modification of adhesive, the addition of additives and the optimization of the curing technology.2. According to the improving methods proposed, the effects of the kind, floatage and modification of pigments on the anti-corrosion propreties of LIEC were researched. It found that the modification pigments with micron-flake, high conductivity and non-floating can not only ensure the low infrared emissivity but also enhance the corrosion resistance properties of LIEC obviously.3. According to the improving methods proposed, the effects of adhesive on the anti-corrosion propreties of LIEC were researched. It found that the kind of resin play an important role in the anti-corrosion properties. The introduction of epoxy group makes great contribution. Besides,the compatibility of resins and pigments and different resins should be concerned adequately except the performance of resins when using mixing resins.4. According to the improving methods proposed, the effects of additives on the anti-corrosion propreties of LIEC were researched. It found that the addition of dispersant and the additive againsting ultraviolet ray can highly improve the anti-corrosion properties of LIEC.5. Acording to the improving methods proposed, the effects of curing technolofy on the anti-corrosion propreties of LIEC were researched. It found that applicable curing tempreture can highly improve the anti-corrosion properties of LIEC. The optimum formula of silicone based LIEC was obtained by optimization techniques and the anti-corrosion properties were evaluated all-round, implemented the practical engineering of LIEC.
