Research On The Application Of Splicing Method In Fur Garment Design

Fur clothing has always given people an impression of noble luxury, dignified and elegant since the ancient times. However, in recent years, with the improvement of the people’s consumption level and the strengthening of the global warming trend, people’s aesthetic and request to fur clothing is changing subtly. People put forward higher requirement to fur clothing design, fur clothing is developing to the direction of thinner and younger step by step. The use of stitching techniques can provide a vast space and inspiration to fur clothing design, By stitching together fur material and other textile materials, it can not only enrich the diversity of fur clothing in style, color and shape, but also satisfy the consumer demand for the thinner and younger of fur clothing.This paper summarized the related knowledge of splicing technique from the concept of splicing and its trace in Chinese and western history and culture at first. Then,it summarized the related knowledge of fur clothing from the characteristics and processing technique of fur material. The core of the paper studied the application of splicing technique in fashion design from the aspects of color, fabric and style. Then it listed and summarized the principles and methods of three fur clothing style (Futurism style;National style; Casual style) design in color stitching, fabric stitching and style stitching aspects.The results show that the splicing technique has a certain influence on fur clothing design. Rational use of stitching techniques can make fur clothing design more diverse, various local fur clothing and leather trim clothing come into being, this not only reduces the cost of manufacturing production of fur clothing,but also changes the heavy image of the fur clothing. Fur clothing is no longer just winter essential goods, but all the year round active on the stage, this enhances the applicability and aesthetics of fur clothing.
