In this paper, the anaerobic microorganisms which can degrade phenol in the static reactor were the research object. It’s found that there were a lot of facultative anaerobic microorganisms in micro-flora which can degrade phenol, such as Trichococcus sp.、Propionigenium sp.、Endophytic bacterium sp. and so on. Based on the findings, we further research phenols’ degradable characteristics test of phenolic wastewater by the microbial community when contain trace amounts of dissolved oxygen. Meanwhile, study removal rate of organics and the microbial community in water. Analysisand get the mechanism of facultative anaerobic microorganisms that degrade phenol and the microbial bacterial genuswith strong degradation ability. The results showed that the microorganism had good adaptability to the phenolic wastewater under the condition of 0.1mg/L DO in water. When the temperature is 35℃ and HRT is 8h,the removal rate of facultative microbeto the concentration of 500 mg/L creosote wastewater can reach more than 75%. DGGE technology showed Trichococcus sp. was still the dominant microbial community and Endophytic bacterium sp. was increased compared with anaerobic environment. The results of GC-MS analysis showed that the intermediate products of phenol, bisphenol A and 4-Chloro-2-aminophenol in thedegradation processes were benzaldehyd, 1-Methoxy-3-(2-hydroxyethyl)nonane, p-Aminotoluene and 2-Butanone, 1-chloro-e. Thus, the process of facultative anaerobic microorganisms degradephenolic wastewater was obtained.
