In 21st Century, with the rapid development of social economy and high technol ogy, people’s life style and ideas of life have been extremely changed. Due to the fast step of daily life, people who have less and less leisure time are increasingly eager to escape from the hustle and bustle of the cement forest city which is far away from the nature. As that saying go outdoors is to be healthy, more and more people fall in love with skiing which is a romantic way for people to relax and relieve stress as soon as th ey breathe deeply in the white forest. The enthusiasm of people to ski has led to an inc rease in consumption of ski products including the ski suit. However, compared with t he booming ski equipment market, domestic theoretical research on ski suit is still at t he initial stage and very scarce. And most companies simply copy the western design, has not yet formed their own brand characteristics.In this case, this paper makes a detailed study on the ski suit and its functional de sign. Then we summarize the design points and methods. The full text is divided into six parts:the first part is the introduction of the background, content and methods of t his research which leads to the research of this topic. The origin, classification, histori cal development and current situation of the ski suit is expounded in second part of thi s paper. The third part analyzes the survival and development market environment of t he ski suits from three aspects:technology environment, social environment and cultu ral environment. The fourth part is market research about the ski suit and we learn mu ch more about the potential demand of consumers through science data analysis. In th e fifth part, we probe in to ski suits material selection, modeling and structure design f rom aspect of the function and the key points and methods of the function design of sk i suits are summarized. In the last part, the conclusion of the paper is concluded throu gh the analysis and summary of the full text. Based on the analysis and investigation o f outdoor ski clothing market and consumers, this paper provides some theoretical gui dance for the development and design of outdoor ski clothing brand in China.
