Vanadium is a rare metal with high melting point, it’s an important material to the development of modern industry, national defense, it’s also a kind of important valuable strategic resources. As the world’s largest producer of vanadium products and consuming countries, our country has rich resources of vanadium reserves. Panzhihua-xichang region’s rich vanadium titanium magnetite for vanadium products production provides ample resources protection.The hongge mining which is important reserve resources of mining area has 14 kinds a wealth of available elements such as iron, vanadium, titanium, chrome and so on and two types of potential elements. The reserve is 3.55 billion tons. But in the absence of developed maximum resource utilization plan, the south mining area has been in a state of sequestration. So the comprehensive utilization of vanadium, titanium, iron, chromium research becomes very meaningful.In this paper, the Chrome vanadium solution that come from hongge mining was used as the raw material. The paper Researched the effects of removing arsenic using ferric sulfate, ammonium sulfate, magnesium sulfate as arsenic removal agent in leaching liquor. The paper studied also the separation effects of vanadium and chromium with ammonium sulfate as precipitant under weakly alkaline conditions for cleaned chrome vanadium solution.Research showed that the optimal conditions of removing arsenic with ferric sulfate in the leaching liquor were as follows:the first pH was 3,the temperature was 40℃,the reaction time was 40 min, the last pH was 6.1n these conditions, the lost rate of V was 4.26%, the remove rate of As was 88.24%, The arsenic concentration decreased to 0.035-0.051g/L. Silicon content is less than 0.02 g/L, P content is less than 0.010 g/L.The optimum conditions of removing arsenic with ammonium sulfate in the leaching liquor were as follows:Using the solution containing K.Mg2+=5(Five times the amount of magnesium salt as theory, the same below)、 KNH4+=10 as arsenic removal agent, pH was 9, the temperature was 80℃,the reaction time was 60 min. The remove rate of As was 86%. The arsenic concentration decreased to 0.040-0.053g/L. Silicon content is less than 0.020 g/L,P content is less than 0.018 g/L.The best conditions of separating of vanadium and chromium in purify chrome vanadium solution with ammonium sulfate were as follow:9.2 of pH value of sinking progress,4:1 of mass ratio of NH4+/TV and 3%seed of the quality of TV were required, the reaction time was 3 h.The partial ammonium vanadate manufactured after which were purified is 0.035%chromium content. The vanadium content in supernate is 0.43 g/L. Partial ammonium vanadate crystals had complete structure, arrangement is relatively dense, the product is light yellow because of containing chromium. The quality of obtained V2O5 conformed to the national standard requirements (《YB/T 5304-2011》).
