Pb-Cu matte is a sulfide including copper, lead and iron that come from lead blast furnace smelting and refining in the lead smelting process, its main composition is FeS, Cu2S, PbS and ZnS. Besides containing copper, sulfur, Pb-Cu matte contains a certain amount of valuable metals, such as lead, silver. At present, the treatment of Pb-Cu matte in the enterprise is mainly directly selling or disposing by themselves.Pb-Cu matte is characteristic of high lead for this experiment, if set it as raw copper to directly sell to copper smelting enterprise, not only valuable metals without valuation such as lead, silver, but also to deduct the price of copper, caused the enterprise economic losses. Copper smelting enterprise adds those materials with copper concentrates as ingredients to hold main process, to recovery of valuable elements. The direct recovery rate is low, the rest of the copper get into the intermediate product and returns, although most of them can be recycled, the recycling links and process is complex. Another major metal lead is dispersed in the copper smelting process, mainly to smoke and slag in converter, it is difficult to recycle. Therefore, this kind of material is easy to sell, but overall, it’s bad for efficient utilization of resources.A novel technology of kiln slag-Pb-Cu matte reduction smelting is put forward according to the characteristics of Pb-Cu matte with low copper and high lead content. The research adopt the single kiln slag and kiln slag with copper reducing agent to smelt Pb-Cu matte. Reduction smelting Pb-Cu matte by high temperature, output of crude lead, matte and slag. The experimental research on the core link of reduction smelting is the stage, the new technology reduction smelting experiment explore the best technological conditions and process indicators through the control of intake that the kiln slag, other reducing agent and slag agent. The research results show that:Na2CO3-CaO compound fluxing agent reduction smelting Pb-Cu matte experimental research, the best ingredient is that::Pb-Cu matte:kiln slag: sodium carbonate:calcium oxide=100:22:14:5. The lead recovery rate is 92.25%, matte grade is 18.56%, the best reduction smelting temperature is 1250℃ and the smelting time is 60min.FeO-SiO2 complex fluxing agent reduction smelting Pb-Cu matte experimental research, the best ingredient is that:Pb-Cu matte:kiln slag: silicon dioxide:borax=100:47:18:14, reduction smelting 60min under 1250℃. The recovery rate of lead is 95.12%, tin recovery rate is 90.21%, the matte grade is 18.65%.The Pb-Cu matte reduction smelting mix kiln slag with spongy copper experiment, the best ingredient is that::Pb-Cu matte:kiln slag:spongy copper:silicon dioxide=100:20:10:8. The smelting temperature is 1250℃, the smelting time is 60min, the lead recovery rate is 90.78%, matte grade is 26.01%.
