This paper is based on the strip shape optimization project of 1450 mm tandem cold rolling mill in Qian’an SWKD sheet Technology Co. Ltd. Flatness control systems of six high tandem cold rolling mill have been thoroughly studied. High-quality automatic shape control is a goal which the cold rolling producers continuously pursues since long ago, while shape preset control is the premise of automatic shape control. Aiming at the defeats of the flatness control systems, the load distribution calculation model, bending force-preset model, The models wear compensation. Good flatness control ability and reliable control stability of these models are proven by industry experiments and online application. The main works are shown as follows:For the source codes of the control system of tandem cold rolling mill are unknown, rolling models cannot be obtained. In order to obtain the required exit strip thickness and technological parameters such as rolling force of each pass, rolling models such as deformation resistance, friction coefficient, rolling force, rolling torque and power are developed. Then seven kinds of load distribution strategies are introduced. Furthermore, the optimized rolling parameters are calculated by the method of Newton-Raphson solving non-linear equations system, which is created by every pass load of the cold mill. Based on these theories, load distribution calculation model of five tandems cold rolling mill is developed.For 1450 five rolling six-high rolling mill control system, in the actual production, plate-shaped roll wear on impact strip shape has been neglected, this paper analyzes the stress state of the measuring principle of God Japan steel rolls and its sensors. The measuring principle based on the pressure plate-shaped roll and gives shape roll wear model and its expression. Through on-site practice and numerical analysis of the relationship between the shape roll wear compensation model and the actual plate-between, improve the measurement accuracy of flatness. According to the plate-shaped roll flatness measurement status indicates that show wear compensation model to improve the flatness of having good results, better reflect the five rolling six roller mill for shape control capability, thus improving the accuracy of control of strip shape.The paper is focused on the optimization of flatness control models for 1450 mm tandem cold rolling mill. The research mentioned is of great help in theory and application for rolling parameters setup, shape control parameter setup in process control system of 1450 mm tandem cold rolling mill and automatic shape control.
