With the development of computer and communication, and the enlarge of terminal product, Flat-panel displays have much more application, which gradually becomes the inter national cutting-edge project and the focus of international competition which need the cooperation and research of many intercrossed branch of science. Among, take advantage of phosphorescent materials, the interior quanta efficiency of is up to 100%, In theory, which is much higher than fluorescence materials. ligand have a important influence to properties of the photoluminescent materials. We used 4-vinylbenzoic acid as ligand to synthesized a few novel polymer electronic-phosphorescent materials as highly efficient electroluminescent(EL) emitters in organic light emitting diodes(OLEDs), we study synthesis and characteristics of the polymer. This work was reported less all over the world.We research follow as : First, A few new iridium dimerize [Ir(ppy)2Cl]2,[Ir(ptpy)2Cl]2 and [Ir(btpy)2Cl]2 was synthesized by reaction of 2-phenylpyridine,2-(4-methylphenyl)pyridine and 2-(2-pyridyi)benzothiophene and iridium trichloride hydrate. Scend, the iridium complex was synthesized by 4-vinylbenzoic acid and iridium dimerize. Last, the copolymer phosphorescent materials were synthesized by the below the iridium complexs and N-vinylcarbozale. The produces were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, and 1H NMR. Molecular weight were gained by GPC, The UV-visible,Photoluminescence, Cyclic voltammogram (CV) and Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) /differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) were studied.The retusts tell us:the approach is available to synthesize polymer, molecular weight of these copolymers about at aroud of thirty thousant, the galvano-chemistry propertity of materials is stability, temperature of heat decomposition is up to 450℃,vitrification point is up to 220℃too, which show a better thermal stability, among, the two are gree phosphorescent materials, emission peak at aroud of 500nm, emission peak of a red phosphorescent material at aroud of 610nm, they shows strong metal to ligand charge-transfer; When the main ligand is changed, copolymer metal irdium complex wavelength of emission move from gree to red. Electroluminescent is processing.
