Drill column is an important drilling equipment, which is a hub connected to ground and underground. Drill string in the underground working conditions are very bad complex. On-site survey showed that across the country oilfield drill string failure accidents occur every year since 1992, thousands of direct economic losses of one hundred million. Drillstring failure is also common abroad. The topics of the purpose is to extend the service life of drill to improve drilling efficiency and reduce drilling costs, which makes sense for drill design and drilling.First of all, this paper drill stem and field conditions carried out a statistical analysis of the damage, describes the characteristics of damage to drill string, as well as the causes and characteristics of damage were analyzed with drillstring vibration led to a major factor in damage to drill string.
