Reheating Furnace process is one of the important processes in the whole hot mill production. It is essential to provide stabilization of equipment, the production quality of next processes, minimize fuel consumption and control furnace pace rate. From the points of view for practical uses, this thesis takes the reheating furnace control system of No.3 hot mill factory in Baosteel Iron and Steel Company as an object. By analyzing the specialty of new technical,new device, new production and technology in existence,design and implementation of the furnace control function have been made.In this paper, the works related to the control system are briefly introduced. First the design of whole system of furnace computer control system is introduced, followed by analyzing and investigating the kernel of the computer control---models, and finally base on the presentation of the whole computer system implementation, some achievements of model's research are presented. The researches of models include following main items:The time prediction model decrease the deviation between forecast values and measured values by optimizing discharge pace rate, study strategy and convey slab prediction. Heat balance model inspects the furnace scenarios by analyzing the consumption of fuel, heated slab and cooling of furnace. Based on different type and arrangement of furnace, furnace temperature calculation was designed as an agility and similitude method. In order to take good affection of actual data, data were filtered and time of temperature decrease was taken into consideration in feedback of RT2 module. Based on the consideration of the computer equipment and requirement, the temperature model was newly designed as one-dimensional instead of two-dimensional arithmetic.The newly development and optimized models are more suited to the production of No.3 hot rolling mill and statistical data show a great improvement in the needless consumption of fuel has been saved. Furthermore, the design and implement of the computer control function is fully considerate which can both meet the requirement of on-site control and reusability, thus, a sustainable improvement on simulated engineering can be ensured.
