In China, rail transport is the major long-distance transportation. In the current circumstances, speed continuously improving,people give more attention to the environment of the train's comfort . Air conditioning system is an important subsystem of the current high-speed train , people thermal comfort depends on the uniformity of the supply air duct.Taking air-conditioning system and air distribution of the high speed sleeping berth car as examples in this paper, using computational fluid dynamics theory and method, application of Fluent software simulates the uniformity of air supply system and the distribution of velocity and temperature field. In view of the problems, improve the air supply system ,finally evaluate the results of improved model, achieved a better results, provide some reference and a basis for ventilation design and optimization of the high speed sleeping berth car. The study completed as following:Firstly, design and calculate the air supply system of the high speed sleeping berth car, provided basis for the follow-up simulation and experiment.Secondly, according to the CAD blueprint,establish the three-dimensional model of air supply system and train compartment.And the simulation of the air conditioning system is done; adjusting the air supply volume by regulating the orifice area , the unbalance rate is controlled at about 5%, to create a good foundation for the simulation of the airflow distribution. Propose the method of arranging the objects reasonablly to make the airflow of the train compartment distribute uniformly.The result of simulation shows the distribution of the airflow more uniform, meet the passenger's demands.And the experiment mockup is established by the simulation results of the orifice area. The volumes of the vertical pipe and outlets have been tested. By contrast, the simulation and the experiment results are very close, and the tendancy is accordant. The results satisfy the engineering demand. This air supply volume adjusting solution by changing the simulation model is proved to be feasible and effective.Lastly, the temperature and velocity fields have been tested. The results of the test and the simulation are very close, both of them can meet the railway standard. The results are evaluated by the indexes of ununiformity coefficient and Air Diffusion Performance Index (ADPI).
