Spacecraft formation flying (SFF), representing the developing trend of space technology, has a rapid growth since nineties of last century. It will play an important role in many fields such as the electronic reconnaissance, three-dimensional imaging, satellite remote sensing, navigation etc. There are also a lot of challenges in dynamics, control, coordinated attitude control and application. Research work as follows about the formation flying of satellites has been done in the thesis. This paper overviews the development of formation flying of satellite. It also investigates the current situation in the aspect of coordinated attitude control of formation flying satellite at home and abroad.Secondly, analysis the description of relative motion .describe characteristics of the circular orbit and the elliptical orbit fly-around formation based on those analyses. And discuss different perturbations on the configuration of satellite formation flying. Then, for the ellipse reference orbit, the linear sate transformation matrix of the relative motion mode is given, based on Hamilton-Jacobi equations. And validate the methods described in the spacecraft's relative superiority.Design a model predictive control method of invariant angular to the ground formation flying, based the given linear sate transformation matrix. Predictive control algorithm is an online rolling loop control algorithm optimization. It transforms the model prediction optimization problem into quadratic programming problems. At last, this approach is demonstrated through the simulation. Finally, research coordinated attitude control problem of formation flying. The paper adopts the leader-following attitude coordinated control strategy. The desired attitude algorithm of the following satellites in the formation is studied. Design of sliding mode control tracking from satellite attitude control, and simulation results show the effectiveness of the controller.
