Small high-speed planning vessels, such as the high-speed traffic vessel, cruiser, patrolvessel, are widely used because they are flexible,low manufacture cost, little maintenancecost and so on. Although the traditional single planning vessels speed faster than theordinary drainage vessel, but the navigability is poorer, sail slap heavier, the sail areaespecially has been limited especially the development of military glider have been greatlyrestricted. Therefore, this article hopes to research a kind of high-speed planning vessels, liftis larger, drag lift,lift to drag lift and lift to static displacement is smaller, stability is betterthan the ordinary planning vessels, turbulence is reduced greatly when sailing in water at thehigher speed.This article will refer to some domestic and foreign mature high-speed planningvessels. First, used the Maxsurf to establish four3D geometry model of high speed planningvessel,as M type, double M type, dovetail type and Arrow type.Next, used the Gambit to setcontrol domain, divided mesh to set boundary condition. Then, used Fluent to simulationcalculation Hydrostatic direct hydrodynamic characteristics and flow field distribution indifferent angles of attack, at different speed. According to the results, analysed eachsubmarine’s hydrodynamics, flow field distribution, and the drag, lift, center of pressure etc,and then, recommend suitable submarines depending on the emphasis of design. Analyzedand improved the type of vessel based on the calculated results, in order to reduce lift todrag lift,increase lift to static displacement,reduce the center of pressure’s variation alongwith the navigation state.At present, the research of the hydrodynamic performance of high-speed vessels isstill a difficult problem, usually solved by a ship model experiment. But, the conditions ofmanipulative experiments is more stringent due to small model,high speed, this part of theexperiments are not enough. Through the CFD method, we can calculate its sailingcondition scenically, overcome the experimental limitations, more consistent with the actualsituation, to the further study on the hydrodynamic performance of high speed craft hasimportant significance. With the development of numerical simulation technology,numerical method is used to simulate the motion of high speed craft to study the movementperformance, will become the important solutions. This article’s research content andmethod provide a reliable numerical calculation model for the performance of thehydrodynamic performance of high-speed vessels, puts forward some experience and suggestion for future study, play a role in paving the way.
