The jet-flow vacuum generator is the important element to generate vacuum pressure that is widely used to absorb and transport materials and other places. In order to choose and use vacuum generator accurately, the R&D and production must test its main characteristics and provide to customers. However, the main method for testing the flow characteristics of vacuum generator is still based on conventional testing methods with pressure gauges and flow meters, with plenty of data points, manpower, long-time spent, and large energy consumption. In order to improve the existence of these problems, this paper presents the flow-rate characteristics detection method based on isothermal chambers. Firstly we measured the jet-flow vacuum generator theoretical analysis and simulation. Then we designed and constructed the flow characteristics testing program and test equipment based on isothermal chambers and a large number of vacuum generators were tested. Finally we verified the isothermal method more energy efficient by comparing the isothermal method and the conventional method.In this paper, the main research work is as follows:1. The mathematical model of the jet-flow vacuum generator is conceived to grasp the main features of the vacuum generator. Then proposed and analyzed the theory of the isothermal chamber method to test the main characteristics of the vacuum generator;2. Isothermal chambers are designed to establish the test system separately based on chambers. Then we tested 12 different types of vacuum generators with a new method to compare the former conventional method. And the results of measurements carried out a detailed comparative analysis. Compared to conventional method, the new method redused the time cost by half to a quarter and air supply by half to one tenth;3. In the new method validation and improved technology, based on the proposed integration of more energy-efficient synchronous test method and system solutions, and experimental verifications. Compared to the previous method, the new method redused the time cost from 1.6 to 5 percent and air supply from 1.5 to 5 percent;Through theoretical analysis and experimental research, we verified the accuracy and time-saving advantages of the new method based on isothermal chambers to test characteristics of the jet-flow vacuum generator, which has good prospects.
