With the background of MIS and electric power industry, this thesis researches the theory, design and application of the Web based distributed system, combing the design and development of management information system on transformer substation.At first, this thesis carries through the demanding analysis of the management information system on the transformer substation, at the same time analyses the customer position of the MIS on transformer substation. Based on this, this thesis combines the analysis of the distributed application system trends, puts the solving scheme based on the Web based distributed application system. Second, this thesis deeply analyses the solving scheme of the MIS on transformer substation, the structure and theory of the Web based distributed application system, and reveals the essence and traits of the Web based distribute application system from the systematic point of view. As tothe design of the Web based distributed application system, the design method of combining the structure design and object-oriented design is put forward based on the architecture and mechanism of the Web based distributed system, and the design process of the Web based distributed application system is established based on the experience of the author and the idea of the evolutional model and the spiral model. This thesis ends with the detail design and implementation of the MIS on transformer substation.This system is based on Windows platform , using IIS 5.0 in Windows 2000 as Web server, MS SQL Server as database server, . NET as programming platform, VB. NET as programming language, ASP. NET as main developing technology and internet explorer as client.
