HVDC Light has been put into practice successfully, but there are many problems on it to be solved.This paper mainly studied the power flow calculation incorporating HVDC light, the operation principle and the physical model development.Based on the operation principle of HVDC Light, for given control parameters and for given power flow control targets, the steady state mathematical model for HVDC Light is presented.The user program interface based on the environment of PSASP/UPI is developed to realize the power flow calcation incorporting HVDC Light.Based on the mathematical model of HVDC Light, the theory of independent control on active and reactive power is presented in this paper, and then the possibility of the decoupled control is analysed.The physical model of a HVDC Light is developed primarily, and the conversion from DC to AC is realized.Computer masters the main functions of main circuit, such as start, stop and the reversal of power flow.The DSP and the driver card of IGBT realized the particular control of converter.He Jie (Power System and Its Automation) Directed by Prof.Li Gengyin...
