In this thesis, the development and the central technology of intelligent building are discussed. Also, the problems of energy efficiency in building is detailed. After analyzing several various means of energy efficiency in intelligent building, The main technology was indicated. In respect that the Energy consumption of heating system occupied 60% in the building, heating control became the factor.In this thesis also illuminating several ways in the automation of hearing system, And detailing some methods for automation. Then , the possibility and necessary of intelligent energy efficiency control were explained. The strategy of adaptive control was indicated to solve the problems mentioned above.In this thesis The problem of controlling the start up of heating plant in domestic buildings is considered and the need for a self-tuning start control scheme is explained. Using a simple semi-empirically derived relationship between the time required to preheat the building before occupancy and the measured temperatures. A self-tuning start controller is developed based on an online adaptive predictor. The controller assumes no prior knowledge of the thermal characteristics of the heating plant and building. Then, A experiment was simulating in MALAB Language and SIMULINK . Results obtained from a hybrid simulation of a heating plant, building and environment show that the self-tuning controller behaves well and has superior performance characteristics compared to conventional startcontrollers.
