Slag and ash deposit on coal-fired boiler in thermal power plant not only decrease the boiler efficiency and the plant economy, but also are potential hazard of many safety accident. The slagging of black liquor CWS is especially serious because of its especial coal characteristic.In this paper, having studied the fuel characteristics and rheology behaviors of black liquor CWS are studied, and some sintering experiments having been done, we found the black liquor CWS tends to sintering under high temperature, the sintering property is determined by minerals in coal. By analyzing several coals combustion characteristics like the black liquor CWS by means of TG-DTG, the results were compared with the reality combustion status in test boiler. The combustion pollute emission of XinWen washed Coal Nol, black liquor CWS, XinWen washed coal No2, XinWen CWS were studied by using the combination of TG and FTIR, it is concluded that the black liquor CWS has good properties of environmental protection, and the conclusion was accordant to the practical combustion experiment.Xin Wen CWS and black liquor CWS were combusted on the 0.25MW test furnace, and the slag they produced along the furnace is measured and analyzed to determine the distribution of mineral species. The distribution of mineral species, such as Na, K, Ca, Al, Si and Fe, along the furnace and in the slag have been studied, especially the influence of mineral species on the fusion characteristics has been discussed. The result shows that the distribution is different among the mineral species along the flue in the furnace and in the slag. And the distribution of mineral species have their own rule, the distribution is consistent with the fusibility of ash of coal.Beginning with normal regulations slagging judgment method and summing up its disadvantage, this paper presented a gray clustering synthetically adjudicate model based on fuzzy synthetic judgment, and the prediction has been determined by the experimentation on the 0.25MW combustion test furnace.
