A Study On Shading Devices In The View Of Ecology

Architectural shading is a significant measure to improve the interior micro-climate of buildings. It attributes a lot to energy-saving and delightful interior light-environments of architectures.There are still few theses and books which conduct comprehensive introduction of architectural shading in China. Architects sometimes run short of practical references concerning shading designs. Basing on the above reasons, this thesis tried to systematically and comprehensively sum up architectural shading, and introduce the history, forms, kinds, applicability, products and other technical measures of architectural shading as detailedly and thoroughly as possible. It also selected all kinds of shading examples for references.This thesis paid major attention to the following aspects: the process and calculating methods of shading designs; the energy-saving efficiency of shading devices; the relationship between architectural shading and natural daylighting; the introduction of present shading products; the introduction and analysis of architectural shading examples; the introduction of new domestic and overseas technologies. This thesis discussed the process and simplified design measures of architectural shading; the chapter of Shading and Daylighting referred to a great deal of foreign literatures and its introduction of certain data and conclusions filled up some absence for relative experiment domain in China; the chapter of Shading Products not only classified and summarized the existing information, but also collected lots of product examples of shading manufacturers; in the chapter of Example Introduction, the examples are highly representative and trendy. Because of the author's limitation of ability and major, this thesis lacks detailed constitutional data of shading products and field testing data of shading efficiency, it still has some deficiencies.
