Energy saving is the key of protecting environment, and it promotes the development of refrigeration. In recent years, lack of electricity becomes more and more serious. The new national standard of room air-conditioner has gone into effect. So the researching and developing of highly efficient room air-conditioner will have a wide market in the future. Based on the preceding work of our group, factors which influence the heat exchanger's performance are studied in the paper. By the simulating and calculating, the synthesis influence which is made by the parameter of heat exchanger, such as fin spacing, fin type, tubing structure, frontal area and air flow rate are compared. This provide technology sustain for promoting the efficiency of room air-conditioner. In succession, the sample was made and it's EER reached 3.00. At the same time, the superiority of room air-conditioner's test system which is based on the Virtual Instrument is illuminated. A testing system, based on HP34970A switch unit and graphic program software LabVIEW is designed. It is proved that its interface is friendly, it not only can be used conveniently, but also can improve the rate of testing. In the end, the potential of highly efficient room air-conditioner's energy saving and environment protecting are evaluated and forecasted.
