Dynamic Voltage Restorer is one of the most important devices of Custom Power,which can compensate voltage sag, voltage swell, harmonics and voltage fluctuationswith a higher performance ratio. The merits and drawbacks of three compensatedstrategies, compensation according to voltage before sag, compensation according tophase angle and compensation according to optimal energy, are discussed in this paper,and so as their applicability and conditions. A compensation detection of DVRconsidering compensated strategy and decaying DC component is proposed, and itsvalidity has been testified by MATLAB simulation results. Moreover, the main circuittopological structure of DVR is analyzed and designed. Finally, the hardware controlcircuit is introduced with a core of TMS20LF2407A slug, and software of control circuitis programmed with assembly language, its corresponding functions of the software aredebugged with a platform of evaluated board.
