Oil heat exchangers have been commonly used in oil cooling heat transfer. With strictly request in space and efficiency , it becomes more and more important to use the highly effective heat transfer surface.Some basic elements of the flow and heat transfer of the pin heat exchangers are discussed in detail.These theories are the basis of heat transfer enhancement elements of the pin with the short fin arrays.The paper simulates the follow and heat transfer of the liquid of the new type pin heat exchangers through the computational software,and the result of simulation is right through comparing with the experiment obtained.The paper discuss the theory of heat transfer enhancement through the pin fins.Analyze the genesis of the vortex 1 and its enhancement for the heat transfer.The longitudinal vortex derived from the pin fins can change the fulid turbulence structures in near the wall,thereby increasing the heat transfer efficiency tight-heat exchanger. Establish mathematical models of the pin fins.The numerical method is used to analyze the heat transfer and pressure loss in pass with staggered arrays of the circle-shaped,elliptic-shaped. Considering the heat transfer in the fluid and solid regional,the fluid flow in the fluid regional., calculating the fluid and solid regional. The fluid flows and heat coupled calculation method is used. The standards two equations turbulence models, velocity and pressure coupled arithmetic are used.According to the results of numerical simulation analysis the local coefficient distribution changes along the pin fins.Study the effection that its height and shape of the pin fins have on the average Nu and the average number of pressure loss coefficient Eu.The circle-shaped and elliptic-shaped pin fins have different circumcolumnar regional,therefore the mixed conditions are effected.Papers presented the pin fins structure that is composed of adding pin fins in the plain fins,and simulated the its heat transfer and fulid flow. The results showed elliptic-shaped pin fins pressure loss is about half of circle-shaped's.The circumcolumnar regional of the circle-shaped pin fins is larger than the regional of the elliptic-shaped,and the mixed status of the circle-shaped pin fins is better than the elliptic-shaped.Through physics analytical and test data have been compared with numerical simulations that concluded realistic approach to optimize the design of pin fins structure.
