The task of this paper is mainly about the online-testing and fault diagnosis of the locomotive main and auxiliary circuits.In this paper, the composing and principle of the main and auxiliary circuits are expounded, moreover, we analyzed the common faults, consequently, the state signals which are useful to fault diagnose are selected.The A/D conversion and binary signals testing circuits are designed. According to this circuits, the analog signals such as the voltage and current armature voltage and current excitation current leakage current of the traction motor are checked and measured. The binary signals testing circuit realizes the measure of state signals which are displayed in main and auxiliary displays of the cab.In addition, the data storage data transmission and data analysis are also researched. The design adopts Compact Flash card to data store and wireless transmission module to data transmit. Storage circuit can store the data which come from the measure unit and transmission circuit can send the data to the control center. The paper researches the message filtering and presents particular dispose method.According to the principle of fault diagnosis, the fault diagnosis and location of locomotive main and auxiliary circuits are studied, the diagnosis system can present the position types and the solve method of the failure.The designed systems are applied in the ShuoHuang Railway Corporation and XinFeng Locomotive Depot, The capability of the equipment is proved to be practical and convenient to use.
