With the massive uses of air conditioning, a series of problems such as sick building syndrome (SBS), energy waste appear in modern office buildings. Air conditioning system is more like"air conditioning for buildings", but not for people. So people have paid more attention to the task ambient conditioning (TAC) systems, which are comfortable, healthy and energy-saving.Now, not only there are not rounded evaluation about a TAC system in the performance, comfortable level and indoor air quality (IAQ), but also a rational set of air supply parameters are not established. Based on predecessors'researches, this research adopt two approaches, experiment and CFD numerical simulation, to explore the performance of the desk TAC system, apply two indexes, predicted mean vote (PMV) and thermal sensation vote (TSV), which are widely used internationally, to access the comfortable level in task area, examine the IAQ condition in task area using the CO2 concentration which has been inhaled by body.The research productions of the paper are:1) From experiment and CFD numerical simulation results, the desk TAC systems can well control the thermal environment in task area, which match the five guild rules introduced by Professor Fanger.2) From analysis of variance to check the influence that supply parameters of the desk TAC system impress to the task area, the supply air volume is the most significant factor. So when designing desk TAC system, supply air volume should be considered first to improve thermal level. And comparing the tested people thermal sensation in different work condition, the comfortable degree is between -1 and 1, which is very suitable for people.3) Comparing with traditional air conditioning system, calculating the CO2 concentration inhaled by body, the IAQ has been improved in desk TAC systems, and the pollutant exposure reduction index can achieve 15%.Above these researches, the suggestions of supply parameters are:1) air supply volume: based on meeting the cold load and creating no draught, increasing air supply volume properly can improve thermal environment in task area,2) ambient temperature: based on thermal level and energy-saving, the upper limit value is 28℃, the proper range of ambient temperature is between 26℃and 28℃,...
