With the rapid development of national economy, people's living conditions have become better and better. But now, the development of national economy is confronted with greatness challenges, energy economization and environmental protection. Heat-pipe is a new kind of heat transferring device, and the heat transfer of heat pipe is carried out by phase change of the medium and continuous loop of the medium. Because of its high efficiency in heat transferring, heat pipe plays a very important role in energy economization. Heat pipe heat exchanger has the advantages of high efficiency, low pressure drop loss, reliability and compact. So they are widely used in heat energy utilization and waste heat recovery. It is also helpful to recover the waste heat, save the raw materials and reduce the production costs. Economic baneful from application is obvious.Heat pipe heat exchanger has many types, so it is important to know how choose suitable one in engineering application. This thesis focuses on the overall optimal design of heat pipe heat exchanger in air-conditioning system. The specific details and methods are introduced in integrated optimal design and the optimal selection for heat pipe heat exchanger. The method how to analysis practical problems and determine design parameters and constraints are giver to solve practical process and technical conditions. In order to optimize, the outlet temperature of fresh air, heat pipe diameter, the length of heat pipe, pipeline space, height of fin, space of fin, thickness of fin and windward velocity of flow are selected as optimal parameters. The maximal net investment income in life cycle of heat pipe beat exchanger is consider as object function and a mathematical model about the optimum design was established and optimal answer is obtained by adopting the optimization toolbox of MATLAB 6.5.Using the temperature frequency spectrum of typical meteorological year, this thesis will investigate the optimum configuration of heat pipe heat exchanger under the temperature spectrum, and then work out the right heat pipe heat exchanger with optimum configuration and optimum economical performances in heating(cooling) season assisted by economical analysis. The law with regard to the structure optimization and outdoor temperature changing is revealed, the optimum design of heat pipe heat exchanger in air conditioning system is improved, the cost of the equipment is reduced.
